Brunette at the Met

Today my class and I went to the Met Museum, we had to choose a statue to sketch. As soon as I saw this statue I found it spectacular the way the light hit the statues and how the anatomy of the three women are almost the same but from a different angle.
Charles James
Designer 1940's
The exhibition that really caught my eye at the Met Museum was the Charles James "Beyond Fashion". I began to admire the gowns and the dresses before I knew who or when they were made. I found it incredible the way the dress is crafted,  I learned that may designers look up to Charles James as he is a revolutionary fashion designer. I love how history affects the construction of the dress, This exhibition is when I began feeling inspired to make modern  gowns of my own in my group assignment.
