| Tita Castro's - photo taken in chinatown model:me |
In the last 17 hours I have learned how to be on both sides of the camera. I learned how to be a photographer and a model, I dont know which one is harder: But I can totally say that if the photographer and the model aren't working together the photos will not come out to their full potential, I have also realized that lighting can make or break a picture. I had a lot of fun modeling for My friend Tita Castro's design who is in another portfolio design class. I loved this project because it deffinitly allowed to experience alot of the different places in New York City.

Progress Report
Today could have been one of the most exciting/exhausting days I have had since I've been here. My partner, (Yasmine) and I have finally finished our dress in Franks class. It felt marvelous to complete and place the dress on a potential model. I felt so proud to to see the dress finally come alive from all of the sketches. I began to feel more inspiration and ideas forming, for the accessories to go with the dress.

Museum Of Modern Art And Design
This Museum altered the way I thought about a design. When I first saw this piece it looked like the image on the right, but as I walked closer the image became more and more unclear. I learned that the way a pictures layout has a lot to do with how the artist want us to perceive the image. I found it fascinating the way the artist made this whole portrait out of labels from t-shirts. The image below

The MoMa
Today was quite a experience, I had been to the Moma a week before I went with my class. Both total different perspectives; the first time I went I felt more as a viewer the second time around I began to see more as a artist because I was noticing more shapes and color, and the style of the artist.
I always admired Andy Warhol but I never exactly knew why, but today I realized its the way the colors catch my attention and makes me want to look at the piece for a longer time. This got me thinking about how to use color to get the attention of viewers of my art.

Midnight Mood Board
Today I began my mood board, the prompt was to take the colors from the pallet which were extracted from the photo of the building we choose for inspiration. I got all these magazines and began to cut out figures and objects that I felt caught my eye.

Brunette at the Met
![]() |
Today my class and I went to the Met Museum, we had to choose a statue to sketch. As soon as I saw this statue I found it spectacular the way the light hit the statues and how the anatomy of the three women are almost the same but from a different angle.
